With reference to the letter from this Department,

No 162, of the 19th September 1898, forwarding the

Estimate of the cost of Audit of the Accounts of the Colony

of Hong Kong, for the year 1899, I am directed by the

Assistant Comptroller and Auditor to transmit to you,

in

accordance with Rule No 128 of the Colonial Audit Regula-

tions 1893, an Account of the amount actually expended on

behalf of that Colony during the year in question.
